Richmond soapbox team will race in Philadelphia
A team of five from Richmond was selected as one of 39 teams from across the country to showcase their racing skills at the Red Bull Soapbox Race on Sept. 6. The Fishstick Frenzy team will steer their craft down the Manayunk Wall, known as the steepest hill in the Philadelphia metro area. This is not your average childhood derby not when cheesesteaks, flying ninjas and moles are flying down the track. At Red Bull Soapbox Race, teams are judged on three criteria: speed, creativity and showmanship. The more outrageous the cart the better.
